TAK Sync syncs your Google contacts and calendar to your TAK phone. We only access what is needed for that, and never look at the content of your data.
What we access
- Your Google email — to identify your account.
- Google Contacts & Calendar — read and write, only to sync them to your phone.
What we store
- Encrypted Google tokens, stored securely on our servers, used solely to keep the sync running.
- A pairing token that links your phone to our service.
What we never do
- Sell or share your data.
- Read your contacts or events for any other purpose.
- Show ads or track you.
Stopping sync
Revoke access any time from your Google permissions page or by signing out in the TAK Sync app. We delete your data within 24 hours of revocation.
Google API Disclosure
TAK Sync’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Protection and Security Mechanisms
We take the security of your personal and sensitive data seriously. All data synced between your TAK Phone, our servers, and your Google Account (specifically your Google Calendar and Contacts data) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). This ensures your information is securely transmitted and protected from interception.
When your data is stored on our servers, it is protected using strong encryption standards at rest. We implement strict, role-based access controls and authentication mechanisms, ensuring that our systems only access your Google data for the sole purpose of providing the synchronization features you have explicitly requested.
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
Our system's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your Google Calendar or Contacts data, nor do we use it for advertising purposes.
